Overview and learning objectives
This training program is designed for personnel listed in Appendix H6.4 of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations persons who responsible for ramp and warehouse personnel.
This online certification course will provide understanding the important safety procedures, knowledge, skills, and basics of dangerous goods based on the 2021 IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations 62nd Edition.
The purpose of this course is to
- Able to identify dangerous goods;
- Have knowledge of the origin of the current regulations and be aware of the general philosophy;
- Able to identify the classes of dangerous goods;
- Recognize, identify and apply the requirements applicable to the hazard/handling labels for dangerous goods;
- Identify potential hidden hazards in cargo and baggage;
- Able to apply the requirements for the handling and loading packages and overpacks of dangerous goods;
- Be aware of the provisions for dangerous goods in baggage of passengers and crew;
- Be familiar with Dangerous Goods emergency response procedures.

This course is designed for
- Personnel listed in Categories 5 and 8 as outlined in Table H.A.1.5.A include staff employed by or working on behalf freight forwarders, operators, and ground handling agent’s staff in the handling, storage and loading of cargo or mail and baggage:
- Staff of freight forwarders involved in the handling, storage and loading of cargo or mail;
- Operator’s and ground handling agent’s staff involved in the handling, storage and loading of cargo or mail and baggage;
- Airline and airport staff; and
- Operations managers and frontline supervisors.

Testing and Certification
There is a legal requirement that a test must be undertaken dangerous goods training to verify understanding of the Regulations. Review questions appear at the end of each module. The review questions can be used to test your understanding of the aspects of the subject with which you should be familiar.
To complete this course, you will need to complete non-supervised online-based exam.
Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be awarded an e-Certificate available for you to print for your records.
